Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to our services ("Services") as defined in our Terms and Conditions of Use. Our users ("Users") share information relating to their professional experiences, including sharing their professional identities, exchanging professional insights, publishing, and viewing relevant content, learning and developing skills, and finding career opportunities. Content and data about some of our services may be viewed by other Users.
1.2. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of our Services. By using the Services, the User explicitly agrees to the collection, storage, and use of the data provided herein.
1.3. As a visitor or User of our Services, the collection, use, and sharing of your data is subject to this Privacy Policy and its updates.
Change
2.1. TEAMCULTURE may modify this Privacy Policy, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice through our Services, or by other means, to allow you to review the changes. If you object to any changes, you may terminate your account.
2.2. Changes to the Privacy Policy apply as soon as they have been communicated to the User.
2.3. You agree that your continued use of the Services following the posting or sending of notice about our changes to this Privacy Policy means that the collection, storage, use, and sharing of your personal information is subject to the updated Privacy Policy from its effective date.
Data collected
3.1. We collect the data you provide to us to create an account with TEAMCULTURE
3.2. To create an account, you must provide us with data including your name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password.
3.3. When interacting with the TEAMCULTURE service platform, the User may provide information about his/her profile, such as his/her education, professional experience, skills, photos, city of residence. Also, survey responses and User comments are provided information collected by TEAMCULTURE.It is a User's choice if they want to include sensitive information in their profile and make that sensitive information public. The User must not publish or add personal data to their profile that they do not want to see publicly available.
Collection Form
4.1. We collect your data when you provide it, publish it, or upload it to our Services. For example, when the User fills out a form (for example, with demographic or salary data), responds to a survey, or submits a resume, or fills out a job application.
4.2. TEAMCULTURE may receive personal data (e.g. your job title and work email) about you when you use the services of our clients and partners, such as employers or prospective employers, and candidate tracking systems that provide us with job applications data.
4.3. We record your visits and use of our services, including mobile applications.
4.4. We record usage data when you use our services, including our websites, apps, and platform technology, such as when you view or click on content or ads, perform a search, install or update one of our mobile apps, share articles, or apply for jobs. We use logins, cookies, device information, and Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses to identify you and record your use.
4.5. We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., pixels and ad tags) to collect data (e.g., device IDs) to recognize you and your device(s) on, off, and devices on which you have connected to our services.
4.6. When you visit or leave our Services (including some plugins and our cookies or similar technology on others' websites), we receive the URL of both the website you came from and the one you visit and the time of your visit. We also receive information about your network and device (e.g., IP address, proxy server, operating system, browser, and add-ons, device identifier and features, cookie and/or ISP IDs, or your mobile carrier). If you use our services from a mobile device, that device will send us data about your location based on your phone settings.
4.7. We receive data when you visit websites that include our ads, cookies, or some of our plugins or when you log in to others' services with your TEAMCULTURE account.
4.8 We receive information about your visits and interaction with services provided by others when you log in to TEAMCULTURE or visit services of others that include some of our plugins or our advertisements, cookies, or similar technologies
Use of Data
5.1. How we use your data will depend on which Services you use, how you use those Services, and the choices you make in your settings. We use the data we hold about you to provide and personalize our Services, including with the help of automated systems and inferences we make so that our Services (including advertisements) can be more relevant and useful to you and others.
5.2. We use User data (such as your profile, profiles you have viewed, or data provided through address book uploads or partner integrations) to help others find your profile, suggest connections to you and others (for example, users who share your contacts or work experiences), and allow you to invite others to become a member and connect with you. You may also choose to participate to allow us to use your precise location or proximity to others for certain tasks.
5.3. We use the data we have about you (for example, data you provide, data we collect from your commitment to our services, and inferences we make from the data we have about you), to personalize our services for you. We use your content, activity, and other data, including your name and photo, to provide notices to your network and others. For example, subject to your settings, we may notify others that you updated your profile, posted content, took a social action, used a feature, made new connections, or were mentioned in the news.
5.4. Our services allow you to explore careers, evaluate educational opportunities, and search and be found for career opportunities. Your profile can be found by those looking to hire an employee. We may use your data to recommend jobs to YOU. You can signal that you are interested in changing jobs and sharing information with recruiters. We will use your data to recommend jobs to you and recruiters. Keeping your profile accurate and up-to-date can help you better connect with others and with opportunities through our services.
5.5. We will contact you by email, mobile phone, notices posted on our websites or apps, messages to your TEAMCULTURE inbox, and other ways through our services, including text messages and push notifications. We will send you messages about the availability of our services, security, or other issues related to the services. We will also send messages about using our services, network updates, reminders, work suggestions, and promotional messages from us and our partners.
Please be aware that you may not opt-out of receiving our service messages, including security and legal notices unless you opt-out of using the services.
5.6. We use data, including public feedback, to conduct surveys and development for our services to provide you and others with a better, more intuitive, and personalized experience, drive user growth and engagement in our services, and help connect professionals with each other and with economic opportunities.
5.7. We use the available personal data to research social, economic, and labor trends, such as job availability and skills needed for those jobs and policies that help fill the gap in various sectors and geographic areas. In some cases, we work with trusted third-parties to conduct these surveys, under controls that are designed to protect your privacy.
We publish or allow others to publish economic insights, always presented as anonymized data.
5.8. We use data (which may include your communications) to investigate, respond to and resolve defects or to improve the services.
5.9. We may use anonymized data to produce and share insights that do not identify you. For example, we may use your anonymized data to generate statistics about our users, their profession, or industry, to calculate served or clicked advertising impressions, or publish visitor demographics for a service or create demographic perceptions of the workforce.
5.10. We may use your data for security purposes or to prevent or investigate possible fraud or other violations of our Terms and Conditions of Use and/or attempts to harm our users, visitors, or third-parties.
5.11. Your profile is fully visible to all Users of our services.
5.12. When you share an article or a post (for example, an update, image, video, or article) publicly, it can be viewed by everyone and shared again anywhere (subject to your settings).
5.13. Depending on the service used, before submitting certain data, we will ask for the User's permission to share with your employer or potential employer relevant data from your profile. Certain activities such as job search are sensitive and therefore we do not share them with your employer or potential employer unless you decide to share them with them through our Services.
5.14. We use or may use third-parties to help us provide our services (for example, maintenance, analytics, auditing, payments, fraud detection, marketing, and development). They will have access to your information as reasonably necessary to perform these tasks on our behalf and are required not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
5.15. It may be necessary to share data when we believe this is legally required or to help protect the rights and security of Users, TEAMCULTURE, or third-parties, always under the General Personal Data Protection Law of Brazil, and its regulation.
5.16. It is possible that we might have to disclose User information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected, or actual, or to assist government agencies in the enforcement of the law; (b) enforce our agreements with YOU; (c) investigate and defend ourselves against any claims and/or claims of third-parties; or (d) to protect the security or integrity of our service (for example, by sharing with companies facing similar threats); or (e) to exercise or protect the rights, safety, and security of the TEAMCULTURE of our customers, staff, and others.
We attempt to notify Users of legal demands for their data when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order, or when the request is an emergency. We may challenge such requirements when we believe, at our discretion, that the requests are overly vague, vague, or without proper authority, but we do not promise to challenge all requirements. User Definitions, Obligations, and Legal Basis
6.1. We generally retain your data as long as you keep your account open or as necessary to provide you with services.
This includes data that you or others have provided to us and data generated from your use of our Services.
Even if you only use our Services sporadically we will retain your information and keep your profile open unless you close your account.
In some cases, we choose to retain certain information (for example, information about your use of the Services) in an anonymized manner.
6.2 The User will have many configuration options regarding the collection, use, and sharing of their data, from deleting or correcting data that included in their profile and controlling the visibility of their positions to the option of excluding advertising and communication controls.
We offer you settings to control and manage the personal data we hold about you.
6.3. Concerning their personal data, the User may:
i) Erase data: you may ask us to erase or erase all or some of your data (for example, if it is no longer necessary to provide services to you).
ii) Change or correct data: you can edit some of your data through your account.
You can also ask us to change, update or correct your data in certain cases, especially if it is incorrect.
iii) Limit or restrict the use of data: you may ask us to stop using all or some of your data (for example, if we do not have the legal right to continue using it) or to limit our use of such data (for example, if your data is inaccurate or unlawfully held).
iv) The right to access and/or take your data: you can ask us for a copy of your data and you can request a copy of the personal data you have provided in a machine-readable format.
6.4. TEAMCULTURE should store some of your data even after you close your account. If you choose to terminate your teamculture account, your data will generally no longer be visible to others on our services within 40 hours. We generally delete information from closed accounts within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.
6.5. TEAMCULTURE may retain your data even after your account is closed if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud, and abuse, enforce our Terms of Use.
6.6 At any time, the User may withdraw the consent he/she has provided for the processing of his/her data. For this, you must go to the settings of your account.
6.7. We will only collect and process personal data about you if we have a legal basis. The legal bases include consent (when you have given consent), contract (when processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you) for example, to deliver the TEAMCULTURE services you have requested, and "legitimate interests".
