Are my answers really anonymous?
Are my answers really anonymous?
This question about anonymity is frequent. People always question whether their answers are in fact anonymous and how we treat this data after the surveys.
To bring you peace of mind and security about the topic, we will clarify how we take care of anonymity here at TeamCulture.
You must know that TeamCulture takes your anonymity very seriously.
Usually, employees feel that the survey could turn against them.We want to go into as much detail as possible as our solution deals with privacy and anonymity.
You must understand that we are acting as intermediaries, protecting both parties, and no matter how much managers complain, we will never change our privacy and anonymity policy.
People also must know that the company has already chosen to use a third-party company to give more certainty about anonymity. They are interested in working with a model of continuous improvement for improving people's engagement.
All this to improve the organizational climate and culture of the company. Indeed to help deliver results with purpose!
Individual responses are never displayed; we only present aggregate results. At least three people must have responded to the surveys to present the results (remembering that this is configured per account, always following the rule of 3 respondents up, never less than 3).
Text responses are anonymous by default, but you have the option to reveal your identity. At least three people need to have a confirmed account. And we accumulate 5 open feedbacks before presenting in the feedback area (this field of 3 people can also be configured, always following the rule of 3 people or more).
The information collected is protected by strict rules and protocols. Not even the platform administrator has access to find out who sent the quantitative or qualitative feedback.
Our Terms of Use protect your identity even internally at TeamCulture. When dealing with any customer data, we are mindful of your privacy.
The participation report presents only a % of respondents and non-respondents per group, so under no circumstances will we inform the managers or administrators of the company whether you are a respondent or not.
Reminding: we use TeamCulture internally in the company, and this concern with anonymity is a constant meeting agenda.
Before we bring some examples of how we treat feedback in the platform, we will leave some tips on how to write open feedback so that you guarantee your anonymity.
Avoid identifying yourself in the feedback by speaking your name;
Do not describe a situation that takes 100% to you;
Try to write feedbacks using words that do not belong to your vocabulary or even changing the way you speak in the messages: this will strengthen your anonymity.
For example, feedback from a formal and serious man in everyday life:
Hi, r u all right? Gosh, I'd be super excited to get constructive feedback, but without getting it in public, what do you think?
Notice that he sought to write as if he were a younger person and as if he were a more relaxed, less formal person. With this, you will hardly be able to connect the feedback to him since the way of speaking has changed.
1) Every survey has a yellow stripe making it clear that your answer is 100% anonymous.
2) In the qualitative question is a button that you can use to identify yourself in this open feedback. Reminding: in quantitative feedback, this option does not exist.
3) Surveys will only be unlocked when they reach the number of respondents. Usually, the account configures to 3 people or more.
4) When the report is unlocked, there is no option to view per person. If you want to know more about the engagement report, click here.
5) There isn't a possibility of identifying people in the participation report. If you want to know more, click here.
6) Open feedbacks in the feedback area for managers and Human Resources will always respect your anonymity. If you want to know more about how this area works, click here.
7) Even in the custom survey area, these rules are valid.
If you still have any doubts or insecurities about anonymity, talk to our team right now using the side chat or read all the articles about the platform in our Practical Guide.
IMPORTANT: It is not because your feedback is anonymous that you should send destructive feedbacks or turn it into a tomb for grieving. Remember: We want to hear your professional opinion to improve the company. So send constructive feedbacks and seek to help the company create paths for improvement.
Do it differently! Let's Question, Act, and Evolve. Work and develop team engagement.
