Permission Configuration
Permission Configuration on the TeamCulture Platform
The TeamCulture platform offers robust functionality for structuring permissions. You can configure the platform according to the contracted module by accessing the permissions menu in the settings area to select the module and enable or disable specific functionalities.
Systemic Permission Groups
Our solution comes with three pre-configured permission groups that we call systemic permission groups. These groups cannot be removed and come with default settings, but it is possible to change their functionalities as needed.
Customization of Permission Groups
Depending on the contracted plan, you can also create custom permission groups with specific rules and assign these groups to people who access the platform.
Important: If you use both versions of the TeamCulture platform or the Advanced/Customized Survey, we recommend not removing the systemic role (Administration, Leadership, and Person) from users to ensure compatibility with the previous version of the platform.
Flexibility in Permission Management
If you need to change access to certain functionalities over time, you can create specific permission groups and assign them according to the workflow or the company's current situation. This is especially useful for controlling access in performance evaluation cycles or OKR cycles.
Permission Levels
Permission Group: This is the highest level of permission on the platform, allowing you to assign all types of permissions to different modules.
Group Roles
With a group role, you can grant specific permissions to entities that belong to a group. For example, in the OKR module, if you are a member of a group called ACME and have a Management role, you will receive the permissions granted for all entities in that group.
Since the permission group on the platform is already configured by default with a set of systemic roles (Management, Participant, and Monitoring), when a person is a participant in the engagement module, for example, it means they respond to surveys and link the results within the group they are associated with that role.
Remember that we can also perform this role association when linking a person to a group of people.
Entity Roles
The entity role is similar to the group role, allowing you to grant permissions directly to the linked entity. For example, in the OKR module, if you are linked to an entity with the active participant role, you will receive a set of permissions to modify that entity or its sub-entities.
Conclusion
Permission management on the TeamCulture platform is essential to ensure that each user has access only to the functionalities necessary for their role within the organization. The flexibility to create and customize permission groups, as well as the ability to configure specific roles for groups and entities, allows for efficient and secure administration of the work environment. Take advantage of these functionalities to optimize your workflow and ensure that all users have the most suitable and productive experience possible on the platform.
